They’ve done it again. The epic brand-new single from The Bluedays’ soon-to-be-released album is available right now. The song, ‘I Don’t Want to Be Like This Anymore’, is the sound of someone making a heartfelt, unswerving commitment to breaking the shackles of negativity and becoming a better person. Behind the lyric, there is yet another irresistible Bluedays’ tune, layered with aural high points. Recorded at Hiball Studios by Nigel Grummet, the song features a couple of very special guests: Pete Saunders (ex-Dexys Midnight Runners) has delivered some brilliant organ and piano while the singularly talented Robert Williams has laid down some amazing trumpet lines. The song was mastered in London by Pete Maher (Liam Gallagher, U2) and is the band’s first release for EOTP Records. Along with their collaborators, Gavin Atkinson (drums), Peter McIver (bass and vocals) and David Robinson (guitar and vocals) have come together to deliver something that demands to be heard everywhere. This is the high point of the band’s musical output thus far, and yet there is still the promise of more, so much more. Following hot on the heels of ‘I Don’t Want to Be Like This Anymore’, the band’s debut studio album will be released on vinyl, compact disc and via digital platforms in November. It’s going to be big… For now, enjoy this taste of what’s to come.
